About CIPS Kawartha

The CIPS Kawartha section was established in 1991 and continues to flourish with a fairly broad membership drawn from local business, the public sector, and educational institutions.

An evening dinner meeting program is held from September to May in Peterborough, see our schedule for dates. Members, guests and students have an opportunity to network before and during dinner. Speakers and topics are determined on the basis of suggestions from the membership.

An annual highlight is our “Career Night” (formerly known as “Student Night”) in January when professionals in the community speak to students from Trent University and Sir Sandford Fleming College who plan to graduate in the spring. Questions on what to expect and what is expected in the “real world” of information technology are addressed.
